I bought a Stihl chainsaw a few years ago and used it sparingly and gently, at least on those rare occasions when it worked. It has been in the local Stihl dealer repair shop twice, no warranty coverage, so the repairs were 100% out of pocket.
Last time they "fixed" a sprung starter spring, and after 2 light uses, the spring sprung on the 3rd try at starting the thing!
I wrote a complaint letter to Stihl customer service and all they did was forward my complaint to the incompetent, arrogant local dealer/repair person who performed the poor repair. I am DONE with Stihl!
