Years ago I had a Stihl mid size that ran well and lasted a couple of decades but it was heavy and not easy to start. I sold it and bought a Husqvarna 372 and it was the best saw ever.
Recently I gave Shihl another try and bought their MS 170. It ran good for the first year then refused to start. I only run ethanol free gas in it, changed the fuel filter, cleaned the air filter and spark plug. It will fire up if I put gas in the air intake but not draw from the fuel tank.
I then changed the fuel line but still no start.
I've pulled on the start rope over 1000 times but it still won't start. Advice: Stay away from Stihl !!!!!
Reason of review: Bad quality.
