Stihl - Poor Dealer Support
Had this review for Precision Lawn & Garden in Webster NT. If Stihl can't pick better dealers and won't stand behind their products, go elsewhere.
Wish I would have read these reviews before I did business with them. Bought a Stihl Chainsaw used it twice. The spark plug boot broke when I was winterizing the saw. Partly due to the poor manual instructions.
Justin (manager) was no help and was rude. Told me it was past the 90 day warranty, something he did not make me aware of when the saw was purchased and that isn't in the manual. It was a simple fix but he still charged me $25 when he could have easily made a customer accommodation. Not what I was expecting from a dealer who is so price protected by Stihl.
All Justin cares about is making money at premium prices; customer be dammed. My recommendation is choose something other than Stihl or if it must be Stihl avoid this dealer at all costs.
The people who talk about many years of good service probably had their experience when Charlie ran the place. Justin is the new manager and is a real pri*k with no sense of customer support.
Reason of review: Warranty issue.

And yes Dealer should have told you warranty period for all top handle chainsaw, concrete saws, and rock boss units. all only 90 days cause of environment they are used in.
Warranty is listed in all STIHL unit manuals, If you read manual fully you will find it.
The reviewer's sense of entitlement is the underlying problem of society today.
We pay a premium for a name brand because it is implied that the company stands behind the product and supports the client. I have had a similar negative experience with Sthil service. I will no longer buy their products nor will I recommend them to friends.
