Stihl - Refuse to give any info on their robotic mower

I do not buy expensive things without some research first. I wrote to Stihl for info on their new robotic lawn mower, things like how narrow a space it can handle, etc. All they will say is "trust us" it will work fine. Their dealer near me has never installed one. One can only assume it is not yet ready for prime time -shop elsewhere

Stihl - Very Unstable

DO NOT buy a Stihl MS 291!! I am 73 years old and have heated my home with fire wood all my life. At this time, I own an 021, MS 170, and this new MS 291 which replaced an 028 which I gave to my son (still going strong). This MS 291 has been trouble from day one. Temperamental would be an appropriate description. I have to tinker with the carburetor continually for it to run. Will be running fine when I finish and the next time, it's the same old story. Very frustrating!! $500.00 Anybody got a hammer??

Bought MS 170 last January; performance was good, for a while, then had to start taking it in for "adjustments".. Then in December '18, wouldn't start; took to dealer where I bought it and after 3 weeks in shop, the service person said it was "moisture" in the fuel but...

I tried to remove the spark plug boot from the plug and the wire came right out. The wire is so short I cannot get it back in the boot to attach it to the plug spring. Maybe it is moot since the damn saw would not start even though I followed manual directions as well...

It will not start. First experience was it started fine but try and cut down a small tree, you have to move the machine to horizontal. Every time I did that it quit. Would restart but tip it and it would quit. Took it in to local Dealer, said the fuel line was kinked...

Stihl in Bedford, Ohio - Chainsaw does stay running

Bought the chainsaw about 30 days ago. Dealer can't or will not fix it. It is under warenty. Stihl will not make it right. Took it in three or four times. Talked with their customer service numerous time. I would not recommend this company to anyone. {{Redacted}}

I've used stihls for 40 yrs. Few problems with the many models I've used. Took to local dealer for tune up end of summer 2017. After 3 wks, no call back. Was in town, stopped and informed saw needed carb, on order. 3 wks. later, got saw back but didn't need to use...

Stihl - Terrible repair service

Purchased a chain saw from an Ace Hardware in Crystal Springs, Ms. Brought the saw for repair(not running well. Picked up after 2 weeks, took it home, idle well but would not rev up. Took it back, was told the fuel line was collapsing. They order a fuel line, after 2 weeks still in shop. I was told that they have no mechanic to make repair because he does not show up regularly. Stihl should not have that kind of place selling their equipment.
