Stihl - Chainsaw does stay running

Bought the chainsaw about 30 days ago. Dealer can't or will not fix it. It is under warenty. Stihl will not make it right. Took it in three or four times. Talked with their customer service numerous time. I would not recommend this company to anyone. {{Redacted}}

I bought a Stihl chainsaw a few years ago and used it sparingly and gently, at least on those rare occasions when it worked. It has been in the local Stihl dealer repair shop twice, no warranty coverage, so the repairs were 100% out of pocket. Last time they "fixed" a...

STIHL extremely difficult to start

Purchased a Stihl chainsaw for our personal use ( homeowner). 78, yes 78 average number of pulls to get the POS started. Don't waste your money. We purchased a Poulan for use in CO at our summer residence. Starts on about the third pull. And, the Poulan was less expensive.

Something is wrong with your story. You can cut a lot more than 3 or 4 limbs in 4 hours with a chain saw. Were you using the proper mix of gas and oil?

Similar issue with Stihl. I am a professional builder and have been using Stihl for many years. In the last year I have blown up two saws with less than 15 hrs on each unit. We use thesesaws for light work, small notches, some brushing and shaping in log and timber...
